The twinning project started in March 2020 aims to contribute to meeting security standards for police information exchange between Serbia and EU Member States in accordance with EU standards based on the European Information Exchange Model (EIXM), specifically to prepare all the necessary technical, legal, and human resources requirements necessary for the establishment of the SIRENE Bureau in Serbia.

In 5 components and participation of numerous experts, work is centered around Serbian Directorate for International Operational Police Cooperation and Sector for Analytics, IT, and Telecommunication of the Ministry of Interior.

The project budget is € 1 million, with Slovenia and Austria as Member State partners.
