Another Win of Twinning Project „Improving Revenue Collection and Tax and Customs Policy“ in North Macedonia

On the 21st of October representatives of the Austrian/Croatian Consortium attended a hearing in Skopje for the Twinning Project Improving Revenue Collection and Tax and Customs Policy, MK 18 IPA FI 02 19.

On the 31st of October the Beneficiary country together with the European Union Delegation decided to award this project to the Austrian/Croatian Consortium.

The aim of the project is to improve and harmonize tax and customs legislation in line with the relevant EU acquis and best practices, improve economic analysis and revenue forecasting and modelling and enhance operational and administrative capacities of key institutions in the system. In addition, the project aims to simplify tax and customs procedures, including declaring and payment by reducing the administrative procedures and costs and improving quality of tax and customs services provided to citizens. The specific objective of the project is directly related to the implementation of the Tax System Reform Strategy (yet to be adopted).
